The Lost

2022 Feature

The Lost 2021

An urban ghost story.

A young mother embarks on a journey of self discovery after the accidental death of her child. A middle aged executive in an estranged marriage lets his suspicions and jealousy get the better of him. A rock and roll wannabe on the verge of stardom has a crisis of faith, stealing a car and picking up a mysterious fan on a road trip to nowhere. Plagued by grief, self-doubt and issues of identity, these troubled lives become inextricably linked as a much more powerful force begins to set in.

“The Lost” is a truly independent experiment in narrative filmmaking. Armed with a miniscule budget, the film was shot in real locations on the streets of Bristol UK with minimal equipment, hand-held camerawork, natural lighting and a small, documentary-style crew. To keep in line with this naturalistic feel, the film was cast with talented local actors with great instincts for improvisation and naturalistic performances.

Described as “beautifully haunting” The Lost was screened in 2021as a semi-finalist at the Blow Up Arthouse Film Fest in Chicago and was the winner of the Audience Choice Award at the UK Film Festival, London in 2022.

The film is released worldwide by US distributor, Indie Rights.
